Results of 2021 UI GreenMetric World University Ranking System, which evaluates world universities in the fields of environmental awareness, energy, waste, management of transportation and sustainability, have been announced. In the evaluation list of 956 universities, our University ranks 99th among world universities, comes in 3rd among 71 Turkish universities in the ranking and 2nd among state universities. In the GreenMetric Ranking aiming to draw attention to the matters about sustainability and to create global awareness regarding environmental consciousness, while our University has raised its 2021 total score from 7175 to 7775, it has raised its score from 1100 to 1225 in the Setting &Infrastructure category, from 1250 to 1400 in the Energy and Climate Change category, from 1200 to 1350 in the Waste category, from 1375 to 1425 in the Transportation category and from 1425 to 1575 in the Education and Research category.

UI GreenMetric platform was established by the University of Indonesia in 2010. GreenMetric Ranking evaluates the current conditions and policies of the universities related to green campus and sustainability and compares world-wide. GreenMetric aims to encourage paying more attention to the struggle with global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling and green transportation by drawing the attention of university executives and stakeholders. ERU conducts significant studies for the purpose of providing high-level contributions to our city and country in terms of education, research and community services and it achieves important successes in this sense. In addition, important activities are carried out to improve and expand the green campus, energy conservation and eco-friendly applications in order to provide our students and members with clean and livable environments.
