FACULTY OF THEOLOGY

The Faculty, which was opened as affiliated to the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Religious Education on December 16, 1965 under the name of Higher Islamic Institute, and the education period of which is four years, continued education for 17 years with this name and status. It was transformed into the Faculty of Theology in accordance with the Decree Law No.41 dated July 20, 1982 and became affiliated to Erciyes University. During its establishment, four service buildings, one of which is a staff residence, were built on a 140-decare land, which was provided by the intense efforts and financial and moral contributions of our benefactors from Kayseri. H. Mehmet BAYRAKTAR Service Building, which was built by İzzet BAYRAKTAR on behalf of his father and put into service in 1998, was added. Our Faculty currently has a 12.000 square meter closed area.
